Position Summary
The Healthcare Installation Technician is responsible for installing, integrating, servicing, troubleshooting, and supporting a variety of medical equipment, healthcare technology systems, and renovation projects in hospitals and healthcare facilities nationwide.
This position combines construction, mechanical installation, field service, and low-voltage integration. Technicians may assist with healthcare renovations, install medical equipment, run and terminate cabling, mount equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot mechanical and integrated systems depending on project assignments.
The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical aptitude, enjoys hands-on work, is comfortable traveling extensively, and is eager to learn multiple healthcare technologies and installation methods.

The Healthcare Installation Technician is responsible for installing, integrating, servicing, troubleshooting, and supporting a variety of medical equipment, healthcare technology systems, and renovation projects in hospitals and healthcare facilities nationwide.
This position combines construction, mechanical installation, field service, and low-voltage integration. Technicians may assist with healthcare renovations, install medical equipment, run and terminate cabling, mount equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot mechanical and integrated systems depending on project assignments.

- Install, assemble, integrate, troubleshoot, relocate, and support a variety of medical equipment, healthcare technology systems, and facility infrastructure.
- Install medical equipment including surgical lights, equipment booms, anesthesia booms, displays, cameras, video routing equipment, integrated AV systems, and other healthcare technologies.
- Perform healthcare renovation activities including light demolition, framing, drywall repairs, painting, cabinetry, millwork, finish work, and equipment mounting.
- Pull, route, dress, label, terminate, test, and troubleshoot low-voltage cabling, including CAT5e, CAT6, fiber optic, control, video, and related cable types.
- Read and interpret blueprints, reflected ceiling plans, wiring diagrams, installation drawings, room layouts, and project specifications to ensure accurate installations.
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, equipment upgrades, and system testing while identifying and resolving mechanical, electrical, and installation issues.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, ladders, lifts, pallet jacks, and other installation equipment.
- Coordinate daily with project managers, field supervisors, clients, and other trades to ensure projects remain on schedule and meet quality expectations.
- Verify project inventory before installation and report damaged, missing, or incorrect materials.
- Maintain accurate daily documentation including timecards, project notes, photographs, expense reports, quality inspections, punch lists, and work completion reports using company software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas while adhering to OSHA requirements, hospital protocols, infection control procedures, and all company safety standards.
- Provide professional customer service while representing KR Wolfe with integrity, professionalism, and a positive attitude.
- Protect company and client property and maintain all required project credentials, documentation, and certifications.
- Travel extensively to customer sites nationwide, including overnight, weekend, holiday, and extended travel assignments as required.

Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of experience in construction, field service, mechanical installation, low-voltage, AV integration, facilities maintenance, healthcare equipment, or a related trade
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and installation equipment
- Ability to read blueprints, construction drawings, or installation diagrams
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and mobile applications
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to travel up to 100% nationwide
- Ability to lift, move, and install heavy equipment while working from ladders, lifts, ceilings, and confined spaces as needed
- Technical school or trade school education
- OSHA 10 Certification
- Experience working in hospitals or healthcare facilities
- Experience with Salesforce, QuickBase, or other field documentation platforms
- Experience with fiber optic terminations, AV integration, or low-voltage testing equipment

- Salary: $24 - $28 per hour
